Structure that is in the design, not after it.

Structural design coordination and timber engineering that join the project early, when changes are cheap and buildability can still shape the design.

Scope, set out plainly.

Every item below is a defined deliverable, set up in your templates and conventions where you have them.

Scope7 deliverables
  • Structural design coordination
  • Timber structural systems
  • Roof and floor framing
  • Structural calculations and documentation, within the approved scope
  • Connection and load-path coordination
  • Value engineering
  • Design review and interdisciplinary coordination

Three stages, three different deliverables.

Stage 01Early structural input
Load paths, spans and member depths tested against the concept, so the design develops around a structure that works.Used by: architects, clients
Stage 02Framing design
Wall, roof and floor framing resolved for the chosen system, with openings, lintels, bracing and tie-downs coordinated.Used by: detailers, manufacturing
Stage 03Calculations and documentation
Produced within the agreed scope and reviewed and certified by the appropriately registered engineer for the jurisdiction.Used by: certifiers, authorities

Why it matters

Late structural redesign is one of the most common sources of delay and cost. When engineering joins at concept stage, the planning drawings already reflect a structure that works, and the working drawings do not need to be redrawn when engineering arrives.

Common questions

Who certifies the structural design?

The appropriately registered engineer in the relevant jurisdiction, either from your team or arranged within the agreed scope. We do not claim credentials or approval status we do not hold.

Which software do you use?

We confirm software and deliverable formats per project to suit your consultants and manufacturers.
